OAP’s 900 calls to 999
AN 83-year-old man appeared in court wearing his pyjamas after making nearly 900 calls to the ambulance service via 999.
Raymond Owen has ill health and did not know where his wife had been moved, the Llandudno magistrates court heard.
Graham Parry, defending, said: “In anxiety he wants to speak to somebody.”
The OAP, of Bangor, Gwynedd, was fined £350 plus costs after admitting misusing his phone and breaching a warning order.
