Zoe Ball raves about BBC1’s relationship drama Wanderlust... @ZoeTheBall – Great ending to #wanderlust @bbcone really loved this series. The acting, script, the pace, cast & excellent music. Struck many a chord.

The recent short spell of very warm weather has prompted the usual panic of global warming from many. But we golden oldies know that it is caused by St Luke’s little summer, a weather phenomenon that occurs almost every year in October on or around St Luke’s feast day on October 18. Make the most of it, though, as it usually only lasts a few days. According to legend, St Luke gave England a little summer before winter began. Carol Rooney, Liverpool

It beggars belief that judges could be in line for a massive pay rise of £60,000 (Mirror, Oct 12). Yes, they do an important job, but a 32% increase in salaries cannot be justified when most civil servants have seen their wages decline in real terms. Any such increase would be a slap in the face for ordinary workers who have had to endure eight years of Tory-imposed austerity. Adam Burnett, Leeds
