Brackley dies at 67
LEGENDARY football commentator Peter Brackley has died at the age of 67.
Brackley was famed for his work on Channel 4’s Football Italia in the 1990s during a career which spanned four decades and spells at the BBC, ITV and Sky.
He also was a regular at World Cups, travelling to the USA, France, Japan, South Korea and Germany, as well as being a feature on ITV’s Champions League coverage.
Brackley, a Brighton fan, suffered a suspected heart attack in 2016 during a charity event before suffering another ‘cardiac event’ earlier this year. Sky Sports’ Geoff Shreeves tweeted: “RIP Brackers. An absolute gentleman.”
