HARRY and Meghan told the Queen and other senior royals about the baby at Princess Eugenie’s wedding, adding to the happiness of the day.

As Meghan had only just had her 12-week scan, and she and Harry were leaving for Australia at the weekend, the wedding at Windsor on Friday was the perfect chance to break the news.

A senior palace source said: “It was really the first opportunity they had to tell all the family at once seeing as it has just gone past the three month stage.

“It was top secret until then and it was just immediate family and the closest of friends who were told before they announced it to the world. They are over the moon and have been incredibly touched by all the amazing good wishes that have come from all over the world.”
