MPs’ duty to us
PARLIAMENT is the apex of democracy, where the tone is set for the rest of the country. Or at least it should be.
When bullying that would be stamped out in most other workplaces is allowed to fester at Westminster, something is seriously amiss.
Past behaviour must now be dealt with. The culture of bullying and the culture of not taking allegations seriously must be fixed.
And politicians facing disciplinary inquiries must now be indentified.
Not doing so only perpetuates a damaging belief that MPs are primarily concerned with protecting themselves.
