Thug climbs 150ft bridge to flee cops
A MAN who scaled a 150ft suspension bridge to escape police has been jailed.
Craig Lee Jones, 31, climbed the bridge over the Menai Strait in North Wales after being refused a drink and threatening staff at a nearby pub.
The structure was closed to traffic as police talked down Jones, who had nearly lost his footing.
He held a broken bottle to his throat, and was tasered on September 15.
Jones, of Bangor, Gwynedd, admitted causing a public nuisance, threatening behaviour among other charges
A Caernarfon crown court judge gave him eight months in jail, calling him “unbelievably stupid”.
