Web attacks hit 10 a week

CYBER spooks are tackling at least 10 cyber attacks a week, figures reveal today.

The National Cyber Security Centre, part of GCHQ, has been alerted to 1,167 in its first two years.

The UK recently accused Russia of “malicious” cyber assaults. Earlier this year, an alleged North Korean attack crippled the NHS.

NCSC said: “We are calling out unacceptable behaviour by hostile states.”
