Who will be the godparents?
WHILE the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may be obvious choices for godparents, Harry and Meghan were overlooked for Prince Louis.
Tennis superstar Serena Williams, a new mum herself, is a close friend of Meghan and could be in with a chance. George and Amal Clooney, who have year-old twins, might also be picked for the role as they too are pals of the couple. Or could the Beckhams be asked? Harry has worked closely with David on their charity projects and the former footballer is an ambassador for the Prince’s Invictus Games. William and Harry’s pals Nicholas and Alice van Cutsem, whose three-year-old daughter Florence was a bridesmaid at the royal wedding, are hot favourites. Benita and Darren Litt, the parents of Meghan’s goddaughters Remi and Rylan, are also likely contenders. Another possibility is Jake Warren, the son of the Queen’s racing manager John Warren and an old Etonian schoolchum of Harry’s.
Harry is already godfather to Jake’s daughter Zalie, who was the youngest bridesmaid at the wedding last May.
