Robot replies praised by MP

A ROBOT was told it answered questions “better than some ministers” after it was quizzed by MPs.

Pepper gave a series of pre-programmed answers to the Education Select Committee yesterday on how artificial intelligence can aid learning .

The machine is part of Middlesex University’s research into how robots can assist with care for older people.

Tory MP Lucy Powell said Pepper was “better than some of the ministers we have had before us”.
