‘Blokeism’ is a hate crime
OFFENCES sparked by hostility to men or the old could become hate crimes after a review of the law.
Hate crimes, which attract higher sentences, are motivated by prejudice.
Home Secretary Sajid Javid said: “Hate crime goes against British values of tolerance and respect.”
There were 94,098 hate crimes in England and Wales last year.
That includes 71,251 race hate offences, 11,638 based on sexual orientation and 8,336 on religion.
