App yell sees off cafe thief

A CAFE owner scared off a burglar from 4,200 miles away by shouting via a CCTV app on his phone.

Jamie Foster, 34, was on holiday in the Dominican Republic when his mobile phone alerted him to a thief rifling through his till.

He saw the intruder in Wickford, Essex, via his CCTV and, despite being on a bus full of tourists, shouted into his phone.

The burglar fled with just £50 on September 27.

Jamie said: “It was a very quiet coach. I think I made a few people jump.”
