Dinner ladies’ huge pay cut
DINNER ladies will have to resort to foodbanks to feed their families as they face pay cuts of up to £100 a month, a union warned.
Some 952 school caterers’ hours would be slashed by 8% under Derbyshire council plans.
Unions are challenging the move in court and accused the Tory-run authority of targeting its lowest-paid staff.
Andy Freeman, of Unison, said: “Some staff say they will have to turn to foodbanks for help.”
