Allergy girl given killer cake at club
A LITTLE girl with a dairy allergy nearly died at a wedding as a golf club gave her a chocolate brownie despite warnings.
Maizy Harman, three, broke out in a rash and was vomiting and struggling to breathe before being rushed to hospital.
A member of staff at Kilnwick Percy Golf Club, East Yorks, had been told of Maizy’s allergies a fortnight earlier, Hull crown court heard.
Former owner LLP Dixfield admitted breaching food safety regulations and was fined £2,000 with £5,295 court costs.
Ex-boss Robert Bousfield apologised for the distress and for telling police the family was only after cash from the club.
