Hollywood icon Rita Hayworth, who was born 100 years ago today, is photographed in a Bristol hotel. Known as the “love goddess”, Hayworth was the top pin-up girl for GIs during the Second World War and made 61 films during her career. Despite her outward success, she had a troubled private life, including failed marriages to director Orson Welles and Prince Aly Khan, suffered from alcoholism and was beset with financial problems.
