Millwall thug jailed for GBH on tragic dad
A MILLWALL hooligan was jailed for two years yesterday for attacking a rival fan who later died.
Andrew Lewis, 50, punched Nottingham Forest fan Paul O’Donnell from behind outside the team’s City Ground before the first game last season.
Dad of two Paul, 56, suffered a fractured skull and bleed on the brain and died three weeks later after falling at home in Newark, Notts. Leicester crown court heard doctors could not say for certain the attack caused the death.
Lewis, of Bromley, South East London, was cleared of manslaughter and admitted causing GBH.
Judge Gregory Dickinson QC said the attack was “entirely unnecessary”.
