While we chuckled during the royal wedding as six-year-old Teddy Williams asked Fergie: “Are you the Queen?”, Ayda Field breathed a sigh of relief.

It could have been worse.

The X Factor judge, 39, admits she was worried ahead of her daughter’s role as Princess Eugenie’s bridesmaid.

“As a mum, you are nervous,” she admits. “Is she going to lose it? Is she going to cause chaos? Is there going to be tantrum in front of the Queen?

“But she was amazing. I was so proud of her. She did such a great job.”

Speaking of whom, dad Robbie, 44, says his present to the newlyweds was his impromptu performance at their party. “I did Angels five times,” he boasts.

Chatting at ITV’s Palooza in London, Ayda added: “We are still nursing a hangover but feeling very happy.”
