Simon Neil revealed The Voice could have had a Scottish accent, but he turned down a role as a coach.

“I’ve been lucky to be asked to do a couple of weird things over the years,” he said. “I was asked to do The Voice a while ago. I’m sure Ricky [Wilson] was first choice. But I’m not good at talking to people, I’m not good at giving advice. All I do is make music with my friends.”

Simon, who said his shoes weighed two kilos, got the Fender Play Award.
