Today’s photo shows a group of nurses modelling their new uniforms at the London Nursing Exhibition at Seymour Hall, London. As the NHS celebrates its 70th year, it’s interesting to see how nurses’ uniforms have evolved. Nowadays they are more practical – the nurse’s cap was ditched in the 1990s amid claims it could potentially carry bacteria, and trousers are far more commonplace on the wards.
