Arena attack inquest delay

RELATIVES of the Manchester Arena bomb victims must wait at least a year for the inquests.

Salman Abedi, 22, killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert last year.

Police want his brother, Hashem, 21, extradited from Libya for questioning.

A preliminary hearing in Manchester’s town hall, heard the inquests cannot go ahead until the criminal investigation is complete.

Coroner Sir John Saunders said the attack was a “needless waste of life”.
