In true Battle Royale style, you are dropped into a map to tough it out, aiming to be the last one standing, looting guns, attachments, ammo as well as heals along the way.

But in usual Treyarch style, there were nods to previous games via places on the maps, with variations of locations such as Nuke Town – one of my favourite multiplayer maps – making an appearance. As with other Battle Royale games, it’s fun to squad up with a team of friends and fight the good fight together, and the addition of zombies to the map was a great addition. But I will always miss the single player side, and I hope they consider bringing it back in the future.

But as a Call of Duty veteran, I’d say give it a chance. If you want an even harder Zombie experience, this game has provided it with bells on, and I look forward to what the DLC brings in next few months.
