Trolls target Chelsea star

POLICE are investigating rape and death threats against England footballer Karen Carney.

The vile messages left on Instagram are also being probed by the Football Association and her club Chelsea.

Midfielder Carney, 31, got the threats after this week’s Champions League 1-0 win over Fiorentina.

Instagram removed the user’s account. Ms Carney said: “This abuse is abhorrent, totally unacceptable and very upsetting.”
