Temperatures could reach 18C (64F) in the South East today, well above average for the time of year.
The unseasonably mild conditions will stretch as far north as Edinburgh, where highs of 15C are expected.

Tomorrow will see similar conditions, with patches of rain but, as we enter next week, change is on the way. Forecasters say night frosts will become the norm in rural areas as October draws to a close. Snow is also likely to fall in the Scottish Highlands.
The Met Office said: “Temperatures in the South East on the weekend should be between 16C and 18C, above average for Boscombe Pier, Dorset, yesterday
October.” Next week looks unsettled, with wet and windy conditions across many parts. “It will be noticeably colder across the whole of the UK from Monday.”
Temperatures will hover around 11-12C then turn much chillier as we enter November.
