First legal UK weed factory

A GREENHOUSE the size of six football fields will be the UK’s first place to grow and sell cannabis legally.

Sativa Investments has planning permission to build the 300,000 sq ft unit at a secret site in Wiltshire.

It could grow up to eight tonnes of the drug per year.

A subsidiary licenced to grow hemp has applied to grow medicinal cannabis.

Sativa said: “This [is a] major step to being the UK’s first seed-to-consumer business.” GPs can prescribe cannabis-derived products from next month.
