The letters A to Z have each been allocated a different number between 1 and 26. The number next to each word in this list is the sum total of the letter values in that word. So, for example, in DIX, D might equal 3, I 21 and X 17, or D might be 12, I 4 and X 25, or any other combinatio­n adding up to 41. We’ve placed some starter letters in the reference grid — can you work out the values of the rest?
