Tearing up a nuclear agreement with Russia after only a few months ago eating out of Vladimir Putin’s hand, the US President accused of treason by American critics for his craven submission at a mini-summit in Finland, is impulse diplomacy.

Reckless Trump’s a deal breaker not maker. The landmark climate change treaty and a world agreement turning Iran away from nuclear weapons two of his wrong targets.

When what he does is our business, condemnation is the only response. Tsar Putin doesn’t play by the rules and the Salisbury poisoning is proof his state is a threat. But a Trump who owes his Presidency in part to Russia attacking his Democrat opponent, is also an unstable threat to peace.
