UK firms less ‘productive’

FOREIGN-OWNED firms are more productive than UK ones – and the gap is growing, research shows.

The UK firms lag behind on management practice and investment according to the manufacturers’ organisation, EEF.

It said productivity has “flatlined” since 2007.
