Murder cop in ‘racist tirade’ at loo cleaner
‘BUST-UP’ St Pancras A MURDER detective racially abused a cleaner and threatened to urinate on a floor, a tribunal heard.
Detective Chief Inspector Glen Lloyd allegedly called Abdi Yare a “f***ing n **** r” after being told the toilets were closed so they could be cleaned.
The disciplinary hearing was told Mr Yare was left “scared for my life” when off-duty DCI Lloyd threatened to “smash” him during the 1am bust-up.
He is also alleged to have insulted Mr Yare’s Somalian family at St Pancras station in Central London on May 11 last year.
The Metropolitan Police officer, who “has a significant amount of experience and expertise in respect of hate crime and diversity”, denies the claim.
The tribunal continues.
