Ferry crash crew in ban
THE captain and mate of a car ferry which ran aground after hitting yachts in thick fog have both been suspended.
Forty passengers were stuck onboard for three hours after the Red Falcon smashed into unmanned, moored yachts in Cowes Harbour, Isle of White.
The ferry returned to normal service yesterday after the incident at 8am on Sunday – its second collision in three weeks.
A spokeswoman said the suspensions were “standard practice in any incident of this nature”.
