Teeth brush health boost
BRUSHING teeth can cut the risk of high blood pressure and associated diseases, a study found.
Bugs that cause gum problems can trigger hypertension, which may lead to heart attacks and strokes, scientists revealed.
The study at L’Aquila University in Italy found patients with healthy gums had lower blood pressure readings.
Researcher Dr Davide Pietropaoli said: “Doctors should play close attention to patients’ oral health.”
