Unfair axing at jobcentre
A MUSLIM jobcentre worker sacked over tweets about Donald Trump and far-right activist Tommy Robinson has won an unfair dismissal claim.
Ayub Patel’s bosses said his messages were too political and he was let go last December as a work coach in Blackburn, Lancs.
Ruling in Manchester, Judge Carole Porter said he was “long serving and had expressed contrition”.
But any compensation will be cut by 50% as some tweets were “derogatory to the Government”.
