Five days of train strikes

-

RAIL passengers on some of Britain’s busiest routes will be hit by five days of strikes from today.

RMT union members on South Western Railway services into London are walking out in a row about guards on trains.

General secretary Mick Cash said: “SWR has stalled the talks process.”

But the train firm insisted it has “guaranteed a guard” for every service.

A series of 24-hour strikes on Saturdays in November is also planned.
