LOCKERS SNUBS RHINOS CALL

- BY GARETH WALKER

ENGLAND skipper Sean O’Loughlin has confirmed he will stay at champions Wigan despite interest from Leeds.

O’Loughlin (right), 35, had been a target for the Rhinos as they look to rebuild under his former Warriors team-mate David Furner.

But asked if he will be remaining at Wigan, he said: “Yeah, hopefully that’s sorted out now.” O’Loughlin was speaking at the launch of the Test series against New Zealand, where coach Wayne Bennett suggested he will start with St Helens’ Jonny Lomax at full-back in Saturday’s first Test in Hull.

Lomax spent the Super League season at stand-off but when asked about Sam Tomkins’ prospects of playing, Bennett said: “He probably won’t play full-back, Lomax is probably the No.1 choice.”
