MAIKEL KIEFTENBELD reckons Birmingham are reaping the rewards of managerial “stability”.

Garry Monk became City’s FIFTH manager in less than 18 months when he was appointed in March.

After steering Blues to survival on the final day of last season, his 14th-placed team are now unbeaten in nine matches heading into tonight’s clash with Reading.

Midfielder Kieftenbeld said: “There is more stability around the club and it was needed.

“We have something to build on.”
