BBC should put binge in the bin
I recommended the BBC One series The Informer, starring Paddy Considine, to a friend last week.
When I asked what he thought of the first episode, he said he loved it, had binged watched it and was on episode five. What!?
I can’t believe the series is all online before it’s been on TV. Call me oldfashioned but the joy of these shows is watching an episode knowing everyone else is too. I know we live in the era of Netflix and Amazon but surely the Beeb shouldn’t feel compelled to do the same.

referred to the ethnic background of the paedophile gang from Huddersfield found guilty of more that 120 offences against 15 girls, was all a bit too Tommy Robinson for my liking. Anyone reading about the aftermath of the case or watching it on the news would be aware of where the men were from. It didn’t need the Home Secretary, doing a bad impression of a far-right leader and risking more racial division, to point it out.
