Crash couple ‘caravan mad’

THE elderly couple killed in the M40 “wrong way” tragedy were avid caravanners who travelled Europe, neighbours said yesterday.

John Norton, 80, and his partner Olive Howard, 87, spent little time at home because of their hobby.

One neighbour in High Wycombe, Bucks, called them “kind and gentle,” and another said they were in a minor collision five days before the fatal crash.

They died on October 15 as their car and caravan hit an oncoming car, in which the driver was also killed.
