Frightful shambles
Halloween attraction is a let-down for families
PARENTS were running scared after forking out for a Halloween event they dubbed a “shambles”. The few attractions at Screamania included a witch’s cauldron under a gazebo, a darkened tent with a pair of stepladders inside and an untidy marquee. Dan Rees paid nearly £46 for tickets for himself, his girlfriend Beckie, their seven-year-old son Buddy and his school friend Beau to check it out on Saturday. The disappointed dad later shared photographs from the event at Reddish Vale Country Park in Stockport, Gtr Manchester, on Facebook. He wrote: “Word of warning to anyone thinking of taking the kids to Screamania. Don’t. Hilarious, yes. Spooky? No.” Operator Redmox Leisure apologised for the “let-down” and is offering refunds.
