Bone drug in cancer hope
A DRUG to treat boneweakening osteoporosis may also protect against breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
Scientists in Canada studied data from 100,000 people and said: “After five years… we observed denosumab was associated with a 13% decreased risk.”
And separate research in Denmark found statins may stop breast cancer in the opposite breast.
It linked the drug to a 12% lower risk of “contralateral” cancer.
