Clarets set to pop jinx says Cork

- SHOCK TACTICS BY DAVID McDONNELL

JACK CORK is convinced Burnley can beat Chelsea on Sunday and end their winless run against the Premier League’s big six.

Sean Dyche’s men have now gone 14 games without a win against the top-flight giants, stretching back to their opening day win at Chelsea last season.

The Clarets were demolished 5-0 at Manchester City on Saturday and face another tough test when they welcome Maurizio Sarri’s unbeaten side to Turf Moor.

Despite their heavy defeat at City, Cork said Burnley remain confident they can claim a big scalp to get their season going.

“We’re due another good result against one of the top-six teams,” said Cork.

“Hopefully we can put it right and have a good go at Chelsea. It’s a fixture I always look forward to when the list comes out.

“It’ll be another really tough game, because they’ve played some good stuff this year. We’ll have to be ready for it.

“We need to regroup, start again and get ready to go. We’ve got a good game at home against a good team, who I hope we can put in another good performance against.”
