Hate crime Tory peer is ‘hypocrite’
A TORY minister faces claims of hypocrisy after apparently forwarding an offensive email.
Faith Minister Lord Nick Bourne spearheaded the Government’s fight against hate crime last week.
He said: “Anyone who spreads hatred places themselves outside society.”
A whistleblower passed the Mirror an email apparently forwarded in 2010 by the then Welsh Tory leader.
It claimed there were “way too many foreigners in this country who don’t understand” honour.
The source said: “Hypocrisy needs to be called out.”
Labour accused the peer of being “unfit” to lead the fight against hate crime.
The Conservative Party did not respond to requests for a comment.
