Fuel killer in parole date
A PETROL station assistant who battered a police civilian worker to death with a hammer could soon be released.
Craig Belcher, then 28, bludgeoned Kirsty Carver, 22, after she stopped for petrol in March 1998.
Her body was found buried a month later.
He got a life term with a minimum 18 years, making him eligible for parole.
The Parole Board said “the panel will look at a range of evidence” before the hearing in spring.
