7-times limit driver jailed

A MAN who drove home from alcohol counselling seven times the limit was jailed for eight months.

William Buchan was so sozzled he could not stand when he got out of his car.

The 54-year-old drank five bottles of wine a day, Perth sheriff court in central Scotland heard.

His solicitor said: “Most people wouldn’t be able to walk to the car let alone start it, but his tolerance to alcohol is high.”

Buchan, of Tibbermore was given a six-year ban.
