INTIMATE photos of up to 65 women have been put up on the internet – and they are all from Sunderland.

Detectives are baffled by the case, in which a hacker has posted a gallery several times, ranging from topless holiday snaps to explicit sexual shots

The women are not thought to be linked by a single man or group of men but the photographs are arranged in alphabetical order in the collection.

The case raises fears iCloud security may have been breached.

A 32-year-old victim who alerted police said: “It is humiliating, degrading and awful. My pictures are topless holiday pictures. None of us know how widely this has travelled or how this file was put together. The file has been sent using Whatsapp and it was posted on Twitter.

“They took it down quickly but the file still exists and has been posted at least three times.

“It could someone has hacked into iCloud or a group of people have shared pictures.”

A small number of victims have gone to police, who have appealed for more victims to come forward so they can see if there are links.

Northumbria Police said: “We take this type of offence seriously and an investigation is ongoing.” CYBER-SCARE Hacking
