SORRY BAGGIES GET RAMBUSHED

-

WEST BROM’S bid to go top of the table was spectacularly dismantled by rampant Derby.

Frank Lampard’s slick side underlined their own promotion claims by ripping the home side to shreds. Two up after just 15 minutes, Rams cruised to an emphatic win against a worryingly bad Baggies side.

Early goals from Jack Marriott (above) and Tom Lawrence set them on their way and they doubled that after the break through Harry Wilson and Scott Malone.

Derby could quite easily have scored seven. They could have been out of sight by half-time as sloppy West Brom struggled to live with them.

Albion grumbled they should have had a penalty when Dwight Gayle went tumbling in the box and Jay Rodriguez grabbed an 83rd-minute consolation but that couldn’t take the gloss off a comprehensive victory for an impressive Derby side.
