LEW SPOT ON ..EVENTUALLY

- BY IAN WHITTELL

AITOR KARANKA saw his Forest side cruise to victory – even though Lewis Grabban missed his THIRD penalty of the season.

Leading thanks to Joe Lolley, Grabban (above) won a 55th-minute spot-kick after being tripped by Mark Little.

But, in what is becoming a familiar pattern, the striker failed from the spot, with Ben Alnwick diving sharply to his left to keep out his low blast. Grabban at least made amends 10 minutes later when he raced onto Joao Carvalho’s brilliant throughball and lifted a tidy finish over Alnwick.

And, incredibly, after Alnwick tripped Grabban as he attempted to round him after 83 minutes, the same man strode up to take the spot-kick.

This time, he made no mistake, scoring into the same bottom corner he had failed to hit earlier.
