Saudis: Khashoggi’s murder inside consulate was planned
SAUDI Arabia yesterday admitted that the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey was premeditated.
The authorities have denied any involvement and claimed the journalist was killed in a “rogue operation”.
Saudi prosecutors were said to be quizzing 18 men suspected of being involved in the murder at their consulate in Istanbul.
Turkey’s security sources say the TORTURED Jamal Khashoggi murder was run by a top aide to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Yesterday it was also reported CIA director Gina Haspel has heard recordings of the October 2 murder – including torture and dismemberment – from Turkish bugging devices. She was set to brief Donald Trump on Turkey’s investigation. Mr Khashoggi’s family has now left Saudi Arabia for the US after his son Salah bin Jamal was given his passport back.
