Parents win inquest into son’s murder

- BY TOM PETTIFOR Chief Crime Correspondent

BEATEN Conner Marshall THE parents of a teenager murdered by a thug who breached his probation have won their battle to have a full inquest.

Conner Marshall, 18, was beaten to death in 2015 by David Braddon, 26, who was high on drugs.

Braddon was monitored by a private probation firm after being convicted of drug offences and assault but missed eight meetings.

He has since been jailed for life over the attack in Porthcawl, South Wales.

But Conner’s parents Nadine and Richard told Pontypridd coroner’s court they still needed answers.

Their lawyer said: “The parents know absolutely nothing about the circumstances of the attack.”

The coroner ruled an inquest would take place.
