BA’s warning for yet more hack victims
FEARS BA jets on runway BRITISH Airways has said another 185,000 customers may have had their personal details compromised in a cyber attack.
Owners IAG made the shock announcement to the Stock Exchange as part of an investigation into a cyber breach that took place earlier this year.
Those affected were people making reward bookings between April 21 and July 28, 2018, and who used a payment card.
IAG said BA was advising “potentially affected customers to contact their bank or card provider as a precaution”.
In September, thousands of BA customers had to cancel their credit cards after the airline admitted a 15-day hack had compromised 380,000 payments.
