Boxer Henry Cooper is pictured training for his forthcoming British heavyweight title fight against Billy Walker on November 7. He would go on to win the fight after the referee was forced to stop it in the sixth round as blood poured from a cut to Walker’s right eye. Cooper was unbeaten throughout 1967 and went on to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year – an accolade he also won in 1970, making him one of only four two-time winners in the award’s history.
