BENNETT’S FUTURE GOES SOUTH

WAYNE BENNETT will stay in top-level coaching beyond the end of his England contract after agreeing to take charge at South Sydney from 2020.

Aussie Bennett (right) will effectively swap jobs with former South Wales Scorpions boss Anthony Seibold, who will switch to Brisbane Broncos at the same time. Bennett, 68, is contracted to the RFL until the end of next year, which also includes leading Great Britain on their 2020 tour – yet to be finalised. His opposite number in the upcoming series with New Zealand, Michael Maguire, is to coach the Aussie outfit Wests Tigers.
