Bloated Matt was wedding ‘wreck-head’
Matt and Emma Willis didn’t look back fondly on their wedding snaps.
“I was a massive, bloated wreckhead,” groans Matt. “A sweaty, chubby, d***head.”
The Busted star had been through rehab twice when he wed The Voice presenter Emma in 2008.
But it was his third stint later the same year that finally got him clean and sober, and he stayed that way.
On their 10th anniversary in July, they renewed vows at the same venue with Emma in the same dress. “I redeemed myself,” Matt says. “If I’m honest, that’s why I said yes to the idea. I needed a good picture of me and Emma in that wedding dress, because she looks amazing. I looked terrible. I’ve burnt the others ones.”
Singer Matt has also reunited with Busted bandmates Charlie Simpson and James Bourne, who today reveal their comeback album, Half Way There, will be out in February – followed by an arena tour in March. Single Nineties is out next Friday.
